Single-click to toggle a checkbox, double-click to select only that checkbox in that row, press and hold a checkbox to select checkboxes for the entire row.
This tool aids decoding of Kaba Simplex locks. It will list the combinations that match a pattern represented by the selected and unselected checkboxes.
Buttons 1 through 5 of the Simplex are represented by a picture to the left of the checkboxes. A selected checkbox with the value n in the same row as a button will include combinations where the button is pushed down and advanced by n increments, or ∅ for not being pressed at all.
A button being advanced by n increments is effectively the opposite of when a button is pushed in a combination.
For example: in the combination {3},{2,4},{5}, button 3 is pushed first, then buttons 2 and 4 (at the same time,) then button 5. Once a button is pushed it advances each time buttons are pushed thereafter. This means that button 5, our last button pushed, advances only one position, and the corresponding checkbox for button 5 would be 1. Buttons 2 and 4 advance both when they're pushed and upon the press of button 5, so corresponding checkboxes for buttons 2 and 4 would be 2. Similarly, button 3 has the corresponding checkbox of 3. Button 1, since it's not pressed at all in the combination, has the corresponding checkbox ∅.
Narrowing down the possibilities for checkboxes is beyond the scope of this help, unfortunately. It relies upon the Simplex combination chamber using a direct-entry fence, where binding wheels can be detected one-by-one.
