Differential measurement estimator for direct entry safe manipulation

When taking manipulation readings on a direct entry safe, here's a very rough estimate of how much further a stylus may move when a tested wheel is in a true gate. Measurement is relative to a baseline reading, not an absolute value.

This page is primarily a demonstration of how lengthening a stylus can ease manipulation. Pre‑populated values are derived from measurements on a Sentry Safe MS0100.

Estimated angular movement = α = total angle travel from closed → open ÷ b = boltwork retraction length × plausible wheel radius variation Estimated radial movement = (estimated angular movement ÷ 360°) × (2 × π × radius of stylus)
